What is WebMoney?

WebMoney is a Russian online payment system, founded in 1998, which uses WebMoney currency as its units for transferring or receiving funds. This revolutionary internet currency can operate independently from bank accounts or credit cards. However, you have the option to transfer funds from online bank accounts as well as credit cards to WebMoney and vice versa. WM is widely used by many online users across the world for online transactions. This payment system is designed in a way to create different purses for different currencies. A WebMoney purse is where you keep your currency of choice which can be created within the system according to your needs. For example, if you prefer to work with the USD then you have to create a WMZ purse, and if your base currency is euro, you’ll need a WME purse. In other words, for each currency, a separate purse should be assigned - WMR for Russian Rubles, WMB for Belorussian Rubles, WMK for Kazakh Tenge, WMG for Gold Stocks, WMX for Bitcoin, and WMU for Ukrainian Hryvnia.

When you open a WebMoney account, a particular ‘WMID code’ will be assigned to your account for management and the business level parameter will be available to you. There are three methods for controlling a WebMoney account which include Keeper Standard (Mini), Keeper WebPro (Light), and Keeper WinPro (Classic), each with its unique advantages. WebMoney does not charge you a fee for receiving funds from other users. However, if you send money from your WebMoney purse, say your WMZ purse, you have to pay 0.8% of the actual transferring payment, up to max $50.

What has made WebMoney Popular?

WebMoney is a well-known payment system in the online community and has millions of users worldwide (more than 32 million). It is especially preferred among Forex Brokers and Traders that need a reliable payment method regarding its speed, security, ease of access, and most importantly compatibility. Many Forex Brokers accept WebMoney as a payment method; some of them even offer to pay the fee for WebMoney transactions, a good way for traders to save some money. Another reason for its popularity is that it can be accessed and operated easily via computers and cell phones (Android and IOS). WebMoney accounts can be funded using various methods like credit cards, bank wire, e-vouchers and thousands of online and local exchangers worldwide. WebMoney charges no fee for receiving money into your account and only a small commission (0.8%) for sending compared to other online payment systems.
